Icon Team Valais: Our objectives

Created in 2012 at the instigation of a few combat sports enthusiasts, our club's main goal is to democratize disciplines that are still very (too) little known in our canton.

From a bunch of enthusiasts to a successful club, both human and athletic.

The origins of the club

Thanks to the support and the participation of the regional club Conthey Lutte, our club was created in 2012. Since its creation, Icon Team Valais has not stopped growing by welcoming athletes from multiple horizons such as Judo, Karate, Boxing, Wrestling or Taekwondo.

The competition

At the beginning the classes were focused on Grappling, Kick Boxing and MMA, then we joined one of the most famous Brazilian Jiu-jitsu academies in Switzerland and in Europe: Icon Jiu-jitsu Team. This affiliation has allowed us to add the discipline of BJJ to the classes given to our members and the technical level has thus undergone a considerable evolution.

The common passion of all the members as well as the desire to progress have led the club to take part in many competitions, whether at Swiss or European level. The results obtained attest to the excellent level of our competitors and prove that we have very great talents in Valais.
